01 / The work

Justice meets
employment.

At Cornell ILR’s Criminal Justice and Employment Initiative (CJEI), Dante served as strategic innovation advisor. He also held leadership roles at Rézme as Vice President of Business Development and Chief Commercial Officer, bringing product strategy, partnerships, and commercialization to fair chance hiring technology.

SUNY’s Office of Higher Education in Prison described Dante as co-leading Rézme’s technology product development and commercialization, as well as a technology transfer partnership between Cornell ILR and Rézme that contributed to the Restorative Record. Cornell’s earlier launch coverage credits Jodi Anderson Jr. as Rézme’s developer. Their roles were distinct parts of a broader effort to make candidates’ skills and experiences visible beyond a conventional résumé and background check.

Today, Rézme’s platform connects employers, workforce organizations, and government programs around hiring and training opportunities.

From narrative
to opportunity.

01

Rethink the résumé

Cornell launched Restorative Record in 2022 with Stanford’s Graduate School of Education. Its premise: employers need more evidence of a candidate’s abilities than a traditional résumé or background check provides. Rézme added personal audio and video narratives to help tell that fuller story. Read Cornell’s launch story ↗

02

Build the partnership

CJEI’s work sat within Cornell ILR’s Center for Applied Research on Work and Yang-Tan WorkABILITY Incubator. SUNY later described Dante as co-leading the Cornell ILR–Rézme technology transfer partnership and Rézme product development and commercialization. As Rézme’s CCO and VP of Business Development, he worked across the institutional and venture sides of the effort. Read SUNY’s profile ↗

03

Bring it to Western New York

At Buffalo Startup Week 2023, Cornell named Dante as CJEI strategic innovation advisor in coverage of the proposed “Silicon Falls” collaboration. He described a goal of connecting CJEI resources and local partnerships to upskill justice-impacted households for the regional economy. The announcement described an initiative and its aims; it did not report a completed rollout. Read Cornell’s coverage ↗

03 / In the community

Clean Slate,
real access.

Dante led development of the Buffalo Clean Slate Act Legal Clinic held on November 22, 2024, bringing the fair chance mission into a public-facing service. The event connected residents with legal professionals who could review records, explain potential sealing under New York’s Clean Slate Act, and identify other available relief.

The clinic brought together Cornell ILR CJEI, the City of Buffalo, the University at Buffalo School of Law, Community Service Society, Alliance of Families for Justice, and other partners. UB Law reports that legal teams reviewed records for more than 100 participants. Dante’s role was in developing the clinic and its partnerships; legal professionals handled individual record reviews and advice.
